Bricks Works Farmers Market

Last Saturday as Mexico was playing Brazil for the Olympic Gold Medal in Men's Soccer, Chris and I were at  the Bricks Works Farmers Market. But, I wanted my Mexican peeps to know my heart was them, so I wore my I heart DF (el Districto Federal/Mexico City) T-Shirt, my Zara Pants and Catholic Bracelet both from Mexico City, and a bit of plata/silver. And mi gente won the game!

But the market was pretty great too.

(This last picture is not from the market, it's from later that day at the Taste of Danforth Festival where these kids were selling lemonade, ice-tea and cookies.)

By the time you read this (my North American buddies) I will already be in Prince Edward Island preparing for the annual Palmer Conference at the University of PEI. This year's focus is "Canada as a leader in Immigration Policy and Practice". I'm moderating one of the panels, and looking forward to learning from a lot of brilliant people at the conference.

Thank you for visiting.

  3. I have been to the Kensington market and the St Lawrence (which I super LOVE) but haven't made it to Brick Works yet! Must do this Saturday!! And I loved the Taste of Danforth, the food was so good!

I'm interested to see what you learn from this conference. I think it's a really important issue at the moment.

Also, I want to visit Prince Edward Island SO BADLY!
