We took these pictures a few days ago, at a tiny, sweet community garden near our home. Yesterday we went past it again, and this time it was full of little children, running around and playing. I imagine to their eyes the garden is huge, infinite maybe, that they could get lost in it. Everything seems so much bigger (and maybe more magical) when you're a kid.

Here are some places that used to feel big and confusing and exciting to me when I was a kid:
- Movie theatres.
- The grocery store.
- My grandmother's walk-in closet in her home in Karachi, where she had antique sarees, lace accessories, and even a very old fashioned phone with a brass mouth piece.
And I wonder if all those little kids will one day come back to this pretty little park, and think about how big it used to look. Are there places in your life you've revisited and felt like it's not how you remember it?
I also wanted to thank you guys for your all your thoughtful remarks yesterday about recycling vs. trashing items in our building. I think I might just speak with the condo management and our local charities to see if we can set up a some sort of regular pick up service. Thanks again smarties!
And as always, thank you for coming by the blog.
