So I'm trying to learn this alien language called HTML which I should become fluent in if I choose to live in the world of the interwobs. I was playing with the dimensions of the pictures and so I present to you the ATTACK OF THE 60 FOOT WOMAN! Well, maybe just a slightly taller/stretched out woman. I'll keep working on it.
So last night Chris and I watched 'Beginners' starring Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer. It's about the relationship between a son, and his dying father, who has only recently revealed that he is gay. It was everything I want in a movie. An original story, beautifully shot, thoughtfully acted, genuine emotion, and a rare treat - it surprised me. I love a movie where you have no idea what the journey will be, that plays with time and direction. The movie was pure love and vulnerability.
In one scene, our Ewan McGregor's flawed and lonely character is getting to know a beautiful and charming French actress Anna. In a playful exchange Anna points out of her window and explains to him, like he's never seen this stuff before, "that is a tree" and "that is a car" and then she points at a building and says it's filled with "people like us, half of them think it will never work out. The other half believe in magic."
Have a magical day guys.
