Bits of Weekend Magic

On Friday night, Chris and I went to see a bit of the East Coast Music Festival taking place at Sugar Beach. On the walk home, we stopped in St. James Park where all the flowers are in full bloom, and it's a beautiful little space in city.

We had an unexpected visitor in my parents' backyard this weekend. I only noticed this little guy because our cat Basil, who was sitting beside me on the bench, slowly creeped over to the fence, maybe in the interest of making a new friend? And as these two were staring at each other a white butterfly fluttered around them. It was such a magical little moment with the three of them, right out of a Disney movie. I did take Basil inside because I didn't want his curiosity to ...you know, kill the cat. As it turns out these little snakes are quite common downtown and also pretty harmless. I enjoyed having our little visitor around for a short time.

And who needs fortune cookies, when the bottle cap of your Jones Soda is there to reassure you?

Hope also had a magical weekend.

  9. Is it weird that I love bottle caps with fun quotes or useless info? Nantucket Nectars used to be my fave!

  17. I remember when I was in high school there was a buzz around school that a classmate had sent in a photo to Jones Soda and had made it on a bottle, yet none of us knew what bottle he/she was on so there was a crazy where everyone was drinking Jones Soda just to see if they could get the bottle with the picture on it. Love it :)
