Weekend Walk & Earth Hour

Happy April Kids! Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!

 (Bonus points for anyone who can tell me where this tradition comes from.)

Yesterday was an absolutely fantastic day! Chris, our Marianne and I went to Elmira, St. Jacobs, Kitchener-
Waterloo - all about an hour and a half outside of Toronto. We left at 5:30 in the morning (yes, we're hardcore) to be the first in line for Elmira's Maple Syrup Festival Annual Pancake Breakfast and it was definitely worth it. That maple syrup is liquid gold and sugar. Yum. Then we went to a Mennonite bakery, a favourite secret spot of ours to pick delicious treats, and then we went to our favourite farmer's market, which I have pictures of here. 

And then last night we went to our friend Marc-Andre's Surprise Birthday Party! Happy Birthday Bud! May this be the best year of your life. And what I loved about last night is that when earth hour hit, we turned off all the lights, turned off the music, lit a few candles, and 20 odd guests just kept the party going. 

It was a wonderful night. Kudos Taniya for pulling off a great surprise.
