Style Challenge: Sunglasses Style
Now I know for many of my blogging buddies, they like to spend beaucoup de bucks on sunglasses, fancy brands, and labels. That's just not my scene. Especially since there have been a series of news stories about the ridiculous amount of mark up on eye wear. Really, it's plastic with two screws, even the most experienced manufacturers agree that a pair of glasses, especially non-prescription, should not cost more than a few dollars. Now that's more up my alley. So this past weekend, I grabbed Umbreen and Sana, two trusty advisers and equally frugal females and we headed out to Toronto's Kensington Market for my annual pilgrimage to buy a pair of new sunnies.
It's not easy to bargain hunt, but you gotta put your heart into it.
The key to a successful sunglasses shopping expedition is to take friends who are both brutally honest, and definitive about what they like on you. You have to trust their judgement...and your own of course.
Important to have those trusty friends, so you don't make mistakes like these.
I do love those coral ones...but are they a practical choice for everyday? Hmmm...better keep looking.
Wait what have we here...
I think we have a winner!
