Hope everyone had a really great weekend. It was great one for me - Chris had Saturday off, which is always a wonderful treat, we went to a baseball game (pictures to come later in the week), and went to see a Hot Docs film, went out for Indian dinner - ate too much (pictures NOT to come - nobody wants to see that), got some writing done for a story I'm working on, spent time with parentals and sister, snuggled with Basil the cat, watched some good TV, life is good. (One not so great thing: our apartment got a flooded from a leak in an upstairs unit. Considerable water damage. Ah, what can you do? Into every life a little condo water leak must fall.)
I mentioned above that we went to see a Hot Docs film, for those of you who may not know, Hot Docs is a documentary film festival here in Toronto, and it's a great opportunity to see new and interesting documentary films. The one we saw last night was Tchoupitoulas, which you learn more about here. The short trailer, doesn't do the movie justice, those boys, especially William are so incredibly charming, and I loved seeing New Orleans through their innocent eyes and wonderment. If I ever have a kid, I'd want him to be like William. Joyful, inquisitive, innocent, just all around cute kid.
And another special something that happened this weekend is that the blog reached 400 members! I want to thank each and every one of you that visit the site, that joined, that send your feedback. It really is a labour of joy and love, and I'm sending tons of affection and gratitude your way.
When we hit 300 members, I had a giveaway, so I think it's only fair to have another one. Make sure to come back later today for the giveaway details.
Thank you for coming by.
