My parents are the two most generous people I've ever met. They give everything they have freely and without expectation of return. My mom, Nargis (like the flower Narcissus) is the kind of person that if I tell her I like the new shirt she's wearing, she'll immediately offer to give it to me, then start unbuttoning her shirt so she can literally take the shirt off her back and hand it over. And then I panic and say "No mom! We're in a restaurant! Please stop taking your clothes off." Ok, maybe that's a bit of exaggeration. But she really is a very giving mom. And on a recent visit, she said she had a bunch of jewelry that she wasn't wearing and wondering if I'd like to have them. Would I? So these are the beautiful pieces my mom gave me, and I can't wait to wear them.
Pieces from Pakistan, Turkey, and other travels, laced with my mom's wonderful artistic spirit all over them. These aren't hand me downs. These are hand me ups. :)
Thank you mom!
