Back on the "borrowing" trend, this is my mom's dress.
My friend Daryl posted a Sanskrit poem on his Facebook wall, about women and jewelry and this line really jumped out at me: "It is jewels that are bedecked by women, not women that are beautified by them."
Isn't that a beautiful sentiment? We think of jewelry and accessories as a means of making us look beautiful or more appealing, but really it is women that bring those accessories to life. I just thought it was a romantic and lovely idea, and wanted to share it with all of you.

ReplyDeletemaybe you can help me. do you know the translation of these words: 'chammak challo'? this is newest song we're learning the choreography in my bollywood dance class(i'm sure you know this song;)).
http://wardrobexperience.blogspot.com
Hey hon, I hadn't heard of that song actually, but I looked it up and it would be super fun to dance to. Ok, well "chammak" means shimmer or shine. And "challo" means walk or let's go depending on the way you're using it. But I'll bet you that it might Hindi slang for something else. Time for a little more investigating. :)
DeleteBeautiful quote and a gorgeous outfit! Thank you for sharing them.
