Winter Wonderland

The nice thing about taking pictures with different friends and family is that you get a small window into how they look at the world. Loren, who took today's pictures, has a real appreciation for the natural and built environment around him. He's very thoughtful about the locations, and I really appreciate that when we take pics together.
And he is consistently the photographer who has me getting in the urban "wilderness."
As much as I enjoy the winter in Canada, it does make doing a personal style a bit more challenging - as compared to doing it in San Francisco or Mumbai. There, you generally have nice, warm weather, so you don't have to worry about wearing ugly winter boots. Does anybody else just not want to try as hard with their style when it's winter time?

And the post where I declared the blog a Queer friendly space.

RE: San Francisco's "nice, warm weather" and lack of "ugly winter boots"...please don't visit us now. Just settling in for 3 months of solid heavy rain and 6C weather. Haven't seen the sky in DAYS. It's miserable! Off to find some cute rainboots...
