Miss Fancy Pants and Event Announcement

Since brightly coloured, printed pants are now socially acceptable in the West, what better time to get double duty out of my traditional Kurta Pyjamas and Shalwaar Kameezes? The long tunic and matching pant outfits that are worn in South Asia work out perfectly.

Top: Joe Fresh; Pants: From Karachi, from an outfit my mom bought me; Shoes: Kenneth Cole; Necklace: Vienna (don't remember the store); Bracelets: from Pakistan, borrowed from mom; Earrings: Saskatoon.

Thank you Daryl for taking the pictures.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to tell you guys about an event I will moderating this evening. It is the first in a series of discussions organized by the Canadian Urban Institute.

Accessing Toronto: How can we create a more inclusive city?

The 2011 Urban Leadership Awards included a tribute to Jane Jacobs and the 50th Anniversary of her famous book, The Death and Life of Great American Cities. In celebration of this milestone and the inspiration to create better cities, displays on her life and accomplishments were created by the design students of George Brown College. This discussion series continues the debate around her ideas about what cities should be like, and asks, what should Toronto be like, what should we do, and how should we do it?
November 16, 2011 6:00 PM through 7:30 PM
401 Richmond; Toronto, ON
I hope you'll join us and contribute to the discussion.
