There's no more hiding. Time to winterize summer clothes. My impression is that most people put their summer clothing away for several months but I don't have the storage space (read: will power) to do this so I have to winterize my summer dresses. I love this purple dress, I just got it this summer and have only worn it once, so to wait until next summer is just not possible.
One of the easiest ways to winterize a dress is to wrap a great scarf around yourself, which brings me to this wonderful scarf. I was in Indonesia in 2008, doing a series of radio documentaries about women. I went to the island of Lombok, known as the Muslim Bali. The island is beautiful and lush and I loved my time there. These fabrics were sold in all the markets and this thin band is actually a decorative fabric, meant to be hung on the wall. But I love using it as a scarf and it always reminds me of my time in that lovely paradise place.
Now that I think about it, I bought a table cloth in Jakarta which I use a decorative wall hanging. I seem to have trouble following Indonesian rules.
Last night we had a wonderful party for our family and closest friends to celebrate four birthdays together. It was really fun. My mom and my cousin Sana (who are essentially turning into the same person) organized a terrific get together. Happy Birthday to Dad, Zinnia, David and Judi!

Given the chances of being cheated by a tour operator, I will surely recommend Green visato anyone! Not only is it totally reliable, but pretty amazing too! I availed their services while in Vietnam and they were totally promising!
